Itinerary Highlights

Day 01 : Travel Time – Approx 2hrs – 3hrs

Meet & Assist by Infinity. Transfer to the Eco Friendly Hotel in Ratnapura. Rest of the evening at Leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Ratnapura.

Day 02 : Travel Time – Approx 1hr – 2hrs

After breakfast leave for Sinharaja Rain forest. Sinharaja Rain Forest is a world heritage site and major Eco tourism destination, which can also be described as a Tropical Lowland Rain forest or Tropical Wet Evergreen Forest. Whatever its ‘technical’ name, it is undoubtedly a rich treasure trove of nature with a great diversity of habitats and a vast repository of Sri Lanka’s endemic species found no where else in the world. Bird Watching in this ecosystem is particularly interesting because it is home to 95% of the endemic birds of Sri Lanka! Named as a world heritage site in 1989, this lowland evergreen rain forest is steeped in deep legend and mystery. The word ‘Sinharaja’ means, Lion (Sinha) King (Raja), and it is popular belief that the legendary origin of the Sinhala people is from the union between a princess and the lion king who once lived in the forest. Overnight stay at Hotel in Ratnapura.

Day 03 : Travel Time – Approx 2hrs – 3hrs

After breakfast leave for Yala National Park. The largest (1,300 sqkm) and the most famous of the Sri Lanka’s national parks is Yala, in the south eastern corner of the island. Here the forests are dry thorn shrub, interspersed with small dusty glades. Yala has one of the world’s densest leopard populations. Elephants are also well known inhabitants and you will probably see sloth bears, spotted deer, wild boars, crocodiles, buffaloes, mongoose, jackals and monkeys. Around 150 species of birds have been recorded at Yala, which includes the resident and winter visitors. These birds include white-winged black terns, curlews and pintails. Locals include jungle fowl, horn bills and orioles. Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala.

Day 04 : Travel Time – Approx ½ hr – 1hr

After breakfast leave for Bundala National Park. Bundala Bird Sanctuary Popular with both Local and migratory birds. Around 167 Species have been sighted. The park is the largest refuges of the Grater Flamingo in this part of the Island, up to 2000 of these birds have been recorded during Nov/Dec. The Park is also among the four UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in Sri Lanka making it a wildlife safari destination not to be missed. It is also the first designated Ramsar Wetland in Sri Lanka. The thorn scrub habitat is home to many mammals and also saltwater and mugger crocodiles. Bundala is the best place to observe both freshwater and estuarine crocodiles in the same habitat. Overnight stay at Hotel in Yala.

Day 05 : Travel Time – Approx 4hrs – 5hrs

After breakfast, leave for Colombo. Stay at Leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Colombo.

Day 06 : Travel Time – Approx 1hr – 2hrs

After Breakfast leave for City tour of Colombo. A drive through the city will take you to Fort and Pettah – the commercial area of the city and tree-lined Colombo 7 – Cinnamon Gardens. Colombo 3, 4, 5 & 8 are the prime residential areas of the City. The Hindu Temple at Sea Street – lined with goldsmith shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatagaha Mosque, Independence Square, BMICH, Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo Museum are some of the attractions in Colombo. After that proceed with a shopping tour at Odel, Laksala Crafts center, Barefoot. Sri Lanka is renowned for ‘Ceylon Tea’, ‘Ceylon Cinnamon’, spices, precious and semi precious gems and jewelry in Silver, gold and white gold. Return to the hotel. Stay at Leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Colombo.

Day 07 : Travel Time – Approx 1hr – 2hrs

After Breakfast Transfer from Colombo to Airport for departure flight.
